In this day and age where there are millions of content creators, it is important to know how to create content that stands out from the crowd. By implementing stunning design elements, you will be able to create eye-catching content that sets you apart.
Today, I want to share with you the seven great ways to create the best images for Pinterest, that will help convey and accentuate your message.
1. Color Attracts Attention
If you’re a Pinterest user, you know that pinning on Pinterest happens fast and furiously. Over the course of a day, approximately 5 million pins are shared. In order to create content that will pop, you need color to stand out!
You can choose great colors that make your content stand out even if you are not great at designing. Did you know that different colors evoke different emotions? you want to make sure your pins colors don’t confuse your audience.
We are all visual creatures and take in images faster than other kinds of information. Tattoo fonts are great for modern designs such as poster titles. For branding, I suggest you use them for headings, logos, posters, titles and signs
Use orange, yellows, and reds to enhance your design, and make your pins stand out on the white background. Lighter-colored images are consistently repinned more than darker images.
2. Create Eye Catching Designs Using Fonts
If you are like me, you use Pinterest mostly on your phone.
Pinning while sitting on the train to work, waiting room in a dentist’s office, or having 10 minutes to yourself on the sofa.
Either way, fonts are important! You need to make sure your fonts are not only large enough to be read on a small screen but are clear and easy to read. That’s why I especially love using font freebies. People will not take their time to try to decipher your pin, so when you use the fonts from the freebies, you are left with so many options and choices, you can’t help but end up with an amazing design.
Hierarchy is important. Hierarchy allows you to use different sizes for your headings and words in order to show the reader what is most important by drawing attention to keywords.
Fonts stand out especially well on vertical pins (pins that appear taller). They also perform better on Pinterest.
It is recommended that you use image dimensions from about 2:3 and 1.3:5.
3. Use of Pictures Is Essential To Create Content That Stands Out
As I stated earlier, we are visual beings. Draw your readers in by using pictures that support your content. Don’t use selfies of yourself for a pin about travel. Show your readers the location, the city. Think of pictures that would make YOU want to stop and read. Learn how to create an infographic. They are fantastic in helping create content that stands out from the crowd.
4. Use Keyword Phrases
People seem to forget that Pinterest is a search engine. Remain aware of what keywords pinners will be using in order to find your content. You can add those keywords to your headings, pin descriptions and infographics. Never spam your content.
5. Call To Actions (CTA’s)
Get your target audience to comment and engage with your content by using calls to action (or CTAs). Adding CTAs in your pin description encourages users to take a desired action, such as repin, learn more, and buy now.
Adding a link to your pin and/or board descriptions can increase clicks to your site, because users can click on the pin to go to your site. It can also show users where they’re going without clicking on the pin to view it or leaving Pinterest.
