What Exciting Things Are You Hoping To Accomplish This Month?
There are so many things I can think of that I would like to accomplish this month.
Unfortunately, I cannot to do them all. I prioritized and organized my goals for this month, and here are five things I hope to achieve.
1. A THOROUGH DEEP CLEAN
This time last year I had just had my little one and was in no condition to do a proper spring clean.
It is summer, and although I did a light spring clean in April, I want to do a deep clean now.
I want to get to all those hard-to-reach places, all the windows. Each and every room in the house will be cleaned from the top down. Rugs will be shampooed, and I will dust, dust dust!
2. PAINTING OUR PLACE
We moved to a new home about 8 months ago and I have been bent on painting the living room.
I love the fact that i have embraced a minimalist lifestyle but having the walls all white is just BLAH!
Looking to find a nice warm colour that will make our home more cosy.
3. MY FIRST MUD BATH
Everyone deserves to be pampered once in a while. I am planning a spa day to get a mud bath.
Yes – An hour submerging my body in warm dirt and water. Mud baths can help ease aches and muscle pains whilst having a soothing effect on the skin.
4. CHANGE MY LOOK
Need to do something different, daring, very UNLIKE me. Shorten my hair, change the cut?
Not quite sure yet – but it will be different and I will have the pictures to prove it.
5. MEET NEW PEOPLE
It has been a while since I let myself be open enough to meet people and allow them into my life.
'You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.' Click To TweetStarting my journey of self-development has opened my mind up to what I want and don’t want in life, relationships and friendships. What I will and will not accept.
As my self- esteem grows (slowly but gradually) I am ooen to new friendships and relationships.
Now these to you may not sound like big accomplishments, or amazing things to look forward to, but this is where I am in life.
Right now this is what I need to do for me.
This will be a month of change, motivation and positive affirmations.
Not only positive thoughts, but positive feelings and actions.
What great things did you accomplish last month? What are you hoping to accomplish this month?
Share your goals and accomplishments with me in the comments section below.

meeting new people can give you so much in life. I was sure for years that i don´t need new friends in my life. But now that I have them I´m learning so much from them
This is a pretty good list of goals! I have never taken a mud bath, but would love to try. Thanks for sharing!
Interestingly, I was listening to my favorite radio station and there was a conversation about women changing their hair color. I might want to do that and go for a truly snazzy shade of blue or pink.
oooh I hope you enjoy your first mud bath! I had mine when we were on holiday in Turkey – it was interesting … not what I was expecting but so much fun!
Hi Jade! Oh please tell me more. When people say “interesting” it usually means a lot of awkwardness LOL.
No not at all! Interesting in that I’d never experienced anything like it before! At first it was strange because but once I got use to it it was a lot of fun! 🙂
Best of luck! It’s good to have clear goals set out for the future. And you look like you would smash them
It’s a lot easier to focus on the things that we want to achieve in a month when we set the priority and better organize. Wish you succeed to accomplish your goals this month.
Those are great goals. I think my goal for the month is to get out and do more exploring and living in the moment. I’d also love to reconnect with some old friends.
The pictures you included made me smile. I’ve always wanted to try a mud bath but have never gone and done it. Maybe write a post about it after you go?
Meet new people, that is an admirable goal to have. I dont think I had that goal in a long time. For me I need to spend time with friends I have and rarely see. Good luck!!
Good luck with all your goals this month. They all sound really manageable ones. A mud bath sounds like heaven! Enjoy.
Hi Sheri, very nice ideas! Love that list you’ve made! A lot of great inspirations. Now I need to think about it as well.
Totally agree! Discipline is so important, and dreams are only that unless you set goals. You need to push yourself to accomplish them. I sure can use a makeover this month too, or at least a new hair style lol.
Fantastic list and meet new people and change the look, it sounds great and i love to do that too. Have a fantastic a new week dear. xox
Hi Kintan, yes I need to step out of my comfort zone and just be open and free. 🙂
Nice list..simple yet important. i wanna ask about mud bath , does it really help in pains? and, how and where do you do it?
Hi, I live in Vienna and you can do a mud bath at the spa. It helps relax the body and can help with pain.
Loved this– it seems we are both list/goal girls! Wish my other half would be the same.. aha..
Great post Sheri I do hope you get to accomplish some of these goals live the new update on the blog
Thanks Kerona, I really hope I can. I will give an update at the end of the month 🙂
I Love bees so I’m destiny to love your blog!:)
Love that you make monthly goals that is great. I always read about make short term goals… need to do some for myself!
Hi Miza, thank you for your positive feedback. I love monthly goals even though I do not always achieve them all. Heading over to your site now to take a look 🙂
This seems like a realistic AND uplifting list. Although with such a young one in your arms there are times that brushing your teeth might not feel realistic. I’m excited to see the new look and be one of the new people that you “meet”.
Yes Anna! You are definitely one of them. Also, I am sure about the new look, I keep going back and forth on it and just cannot decide. At the end of the day, if it looks like crap, I will write a post about my “new-look epic fail” 🙂
So I’ve never thought about having a mud bath until I read your post! I’m going to ask the hubs if he wants to try it also. He’s always been my guinea pig. Besides we are a team right !?! LOL
LOOOOL, that is a great idea Nayrha! Let me know if you try it out.
Loved your goals. I can do with a spa day myself 😀 Thanks for the idea 😉
What to say ? As always …great post , brilliant style , lovely look . Keep it up Sheri , you are doing a great job ! I love your “upgrades” , “The Bee” top right looks really great !
Thank you Klaudia! I am trying to make my site more reader friendly, while highlighting the important aspects I want my readers to see first. Love your feedback 🙂 xoxo S.
Hi Sheri,
The year is going fast. Are we having that much fun?
My biggest goal for this month (since I reach the big 40 ) is to drift away from stress.
That is my biggest Goal!!
Hi Maria – You can drift away from stress if your practice doing so on a daily basis, I find that different methods work for different people. Either way you look at it, de-stressing is a good thing 🙂 Congratulations on your 40th (almost) birthday. Make it a great one!
My husband literally just asked me today what I can use that can help me relax & I’ve never had a mud bath! What sort of work will you be going back to after maternity leave?
This month I plan to ACTUALLY eat better (said as I sit at my desk eating chocolate wafers) and start running again. I went for my first run since having my now 1 year old over the weekend and didn’t realize how much I missed it, just not enough to run when it’s colder than 45 degrees outside 🙂 I’m also going to get a crown on my root canal and finally see the doctor about my wrist/thumb (I’m thinking it’s either arthritis or carpel tunnel syndrome) which I’ve been putting off by telling myself it was all in my head. Turns out, it’s not! haha
45 degrees….quick calculation tells me that’s about 7 degrees centigrade? Yup, still pretty cold. It was 22 degrees ( 72 Fahrenheit) in Vienna yesterday! Warm and sunny. I have a friend who runs a lot, and she had to stop for 3 months and she said she didn’t realise how much she missed it and her body needed it. It is a way for her to release stress, is that the same for you? I work as the assistant to the Director of the company I work for so it would be back to organizing, planning, appointments, travel – all things my little one has helped make me an expert in 🙂
A root canal……not fun but necessary sometimes. I hope all goes well with your wrist and thumb Kristyn. At times, you just have to give in and go to the doctor. I left healthy eating off my list as the chocolate and sweets just won’t allow it. Try the mud bath if you can and let me know what you think! xoxo S.
As I am a singer, lyricist and singing teacher by profession, I’m planning on launching my own website centred around online singing lessons, how to write your own lyrics and general writing to promote my own work. What do people think of this idea please?
Nice post with lots of lovely food for thought! Some of the things i would like to accomplish this month are: 1) Lose 2.5 kg’s. 2) Re-inspire my daily meditation. 3) Cultivate a new friendship with someone i have recently met. 4) Exercise for 40 minutes a day. 5) Go for a lymph drainage massage.
These are great goals Tania and achievable! I like all of them, for the mind body and soul. Please let me know how it goes. 🙂
I never thought about having a mud bath before, I think I’ll have to look around for a place in CT.
If you try it – please let me know how it goes. I will update all my goals at the end of the month 🙂
