Baby Milestones Are Important – But They Aren’t Everything
Are you worried that your baby’s development is not where it should be? Wonder what this means for his or her future?
Don’t fret. Try to avoid comparing your baby’s development to other infants.
It is a better idea to compare individual milestones from the previous week or month.
You should remember that babies develop at different rates.
BABY – FIRST MONTH

- Squeals
- Gurgles
- Coos
- Recognizes Your Voice
- Has Smooth Movements
- Smiles Responsively
- Laughs
- Turns Towards Loud Sounds
- Can Bring Hands Together
- May Try To Reach For Toys
- Can Roll Over
BABY – FOUR MONTHS
- Coos When You Talk

BABY – SIX MONTHS

- Turns Towards Sounds And Voices
- Imitates Sounds
- Blows Bubbles
- Rolls In Both Directions
- Reaches For Objects
- Puts Objects In Mouth
- Can Sit Without Support
- May Lunge Forward
- May Start Crawling
- May Combine Syllables
- May Drag Object Towards Themselves
