Here’s How To Design Your Office Like A Lady Boss!
Ladies, we live in peculiar times.
On one hand, the impact of the feminine society begins to take hold in the modern, previously exclusively patriarchal environment, as women from across the globe are increasingly becoming widely recognised for their skills, expertise, general badassery.
Not to mention an innate talent to challenge any goal and thrive through adversity.
On the other, you still have to prove your strength wherever you go.
Where a man would crack, a woman will persevere.
After all, one does not go through a lifetime of stomach cramps without becoming a terminator in her own right.
A feminine terminator deserves an office to aid her in reaching her goals and establishing her reputation in the competitive world.
Here are great tips on how to transform your office into a haven of productivity and lifelong prosperity.
1. Declutter And Organise
A clean office is a productive office, it gets no simpler than that. This one might be obvious to some, and it should be for you as well.
However, if you have been living under the impression that you’re a creative spirit able to thrive in the chaos you surround yourself with, you are actually setting yourself up for disaster in the long run.
Solution? You need to declutter and neatly file and organise your entire office in order to promote clarity, productivity and focus.
How do you expect to maintain productivity if you’re unable to find this folder or send out that contract?
Don’t let the clutter define your success.
2. Save The Trees
The trees like you, so why don’t you reciprocate by taking the necessary steps towards a paperless future?
After all, it is the 21st century; you probably have a bunch of gadgets around your home and office with unlimited storage in terms of work material.
Why not utilise the power of technology to streamline your work and promote productivity?
Save the trees, use your computer more.

3. Make It Comfy And Cosy
Not to insinuate your office should be so cosy that you fall asleep at your desk, but it should be comfy enough for you to feel focused, relaxed and ready to tackle any challenge.
Your desk should boast ample work-space and your seating arrangement should entail comfy armchairs for your guests to feel pampered and secure in your domain.
Yet, that is not the most important part. The determining factor will be the chair you sit in.
Your office chair can make or break your success, believe it or not, because if it does not correspond with the contours of your body you will start experiencing pain, and in time, your body will suffer.
The Australian business community has taken a giant leap towards ensuring the health of its employees, and ergonomic office chairs in Sydney have become all the craze, allowing people to be more productive and positive throughout the day.
Don’t underestimate the power of the chair and be sure to make a prudent investment.
4. Add A Touch Of Green
Nature is all around us, and it should be a vital component of your serene, productive office environment.
No need to create a rainforest though, just introduce several potted plants and maybe a colourful flower vase to decorate your window sill or the edge of your desk.
You will instantly notice that you’re more productive, positive and able to nurture your relationship with your clients better than ever before.
The added benefit is that people love a warm, intimate setting, and that is exactly what your office will provide for your guests.
5. Colours And Lighting
The colour scheme in your office should reflect your personality and should fill the room with positivity and enthusiasm.
While it is yours to choose, the colour scheme should deviate from dark, brooding hues and instead boast lively alternatives, such as red, yellow, green or aqua blue.
As for the lighting, a productive machine like yourself needs ample amounts of lights to operate at peak performance, so not only should your office host plenty of natural sunlight during the day, but it should also be illuminated with warm artificial lighting for those long nights spent making magic happen.

Well, the time is better than ever to be a true give-you-a-run-for-your-money, million-dollar lady boss!
Take your creativity, shove it into the fleeting life of the patriarchal system, and utilise your office to show the world that you are a force to be reckoned with!

I am a clean freak person so I loved the tips.
Any tips for keeping some greenery around if your office is in a windowless basement?
I love the simplistic but chic styling options! I’m definitely looking for ways to spice up my cubicle at work 🙂
Great, simple tips to remember. Decluttering is the hardest the part for me… I have such a small space and way too much stuff!
Ah I love a good office space. It must be simple, clean and attractive. While working from home, I would use the couch most times but once I set up my office, my productivity grew so much! Thank you so much for the tips!
Fab ideas, and I love the photos. I’d be happy just to have plenty of natural light in my working space!!
I really need to remodel my work area! This post was so helpful. I want to bring in a bunch of succulents so I don’t have to actually take care of plants haha
These are awesome ideas! I agree with the comfortable chair. That was the first thing I got for my home office
Thanks Arron!
Great tips there.
I am a declutter freak and such articles really make me happy. I recently bought a home in the countryside and I intend to add a touch of green to the entire interior setting with indoor plants hanged with macrame cords, bookshelves, barks of tree, kitchen island and a rustic setting…
Hope it works in my favour .. lol!
In regards to nature peppermint is also cool, it lift your mood so it’s nice to keep it also close to your workstation.
II liked the calming colors, and the way the plants were arranged on the table. Typically I do not like the cactus flower but the way you organized it with other plants not only added class and beauty to the room but life also
I This has inspired me to clean my space more. With everything I do this has been a challenge. I can’t wait to do this!
I love this post. I recently reorganized my work space, which was cluttered with tons of stuff. I also went out and got some flowers for my vase that has been empty for some time now (LOL). I even invested in a candle, which adds a nice touch. My reading books are nicely assembled on the top shelf of my little desk. I love my work space now and I find it easier to get things accomplished because I feel amazing in my work space. Also, I am so using that word, “Badassery,” because I believe that we are bad ass. Thank you so much for this post! It put a smile on my face!
Yes, I’m thinking about changing my office around and this gave me the push I needed.
Great read!!! A mindful way of organising with all the colors, lights and plants..it certainly will increase productivity
Great tips and suggestions! Less clutter, the better! I always like having a flower or plant too to keep things fresh!
Aaron is quite nice. I had a few corespondences with him. I feel that freelance writers tend to be flexible when it comes to knowledge and skill. It was a rather enjoyable post.
This was a great read and very timely for me, as we are moving next week and I will actually have a real office! I will definitely be coming back to this post for ideas.
One day I will ave such a nice office:) Perfect place where you cannot only work but also relax
I love the tips and agree a declittered space allows for free thinking and creativity. Clean and bright are my goals for office space.
Wonderful tips, I definitely like the idea of adding plants to make your office lighter and brighter 🙂
Girls, thanks a lot! 🙂 I am really glad that you liked my piece! And thanks to Sheri for allowing me to share it with you!
Sounds like Arron knows exactly how to make an office fashionable and comfortable too. He has some great tips!
II like this so much. Thank you for great tips 🙂

Love love love this, my “office” is basically just a desk in my living room but it could do with a touch of reworking. That being said I am so using some of these tips in my “real job” office, it’s very bland and boring at the moment.
Thanks to Arron and to you for sharing all these tips for designing the office. Currently, my home office/study is in real need of some care. The worst things is there are no windows in that room and that makes it really difficult for me to even think about doing anything in my office. I hate to work under lamps when I know there is plenty of natural light outside. 🙁
II really wish that I had my own office as if I did I would definitely add a touch of green. Especially cactus’s and succulents because I think that they are adorable x
Thanks for sharing the tips. I assume this could also apply to freelancers and stay-at-home bloggers. In any work place you have, you must feel comfortable and it should be organized
Love all the tips and ideas! A comfy and decluttered place is the best for a relaxing and productive office space.
Ohh makes me sad not having an office so I can pimp my office! If you are going to spend most of your time in that office so better to make it to your own style! I wouls make it super comfy with a lot of greens!
What a lovely post. This does not only apply to women but men as well. As a matter of fact, I have just finished decluttering my work space and I must say i felt rejuvenated. Having too much junk around dampens your soul and eats up your motivation. Thanks for sharing.
Surely, organizing your desk is super important to me. I love to add some greens in my whole house and office too! 🙂
These are amazing tips! I love to keep my desk as clean and as organised as possible so I declutter it basically once a month haha!
I really like these tips. These photos give me lot of ideas for an elegant home office.I also love to have some plants which gives me an eye pleasing look.
II read an article not long ago about how colors, light and plant can increase your concentration and improve your productivity. I also love to have a clean and organized space, I think it helps you focus and makes your work much easier.
Great tips and lovely pictures, loved the design and org. Thanks for sharing
