Rituals Body Scrubs: Himalaya Scrub & Hammam Hot Scrub
We all have our daily rituals don’t we? A series of actions we follow. I don’t have a lot of “me” time nowadays, but I still like to take care of myself. I’ve been meaning to write a Rituals body scrubs review from their product line for ages now, but could never get around to it.
For June and July, I set aside time to write reviews for products I not only use, but LOVE.
This is a perfect time to write the Rituals body scrubs review as I have been able to use them both hot and cooler weather.
Also, I am able to assess the product better after having used it for a while.
Rituals is a skincare brand that offers excellent high-end products inspired by the wisdom and ancient traditions of Asian cultures.
The brand is cruelty-free meaning it does not test on animals, one of the things I find great about this brand.
I received the Himalaya Scrub and the Hammam Hot Scrub after letting Rituals know how much I loved their body scrubs after the first time I used one.
Rituals is new to Vienna, so my first time trying their products was only a little over a half a year ago. Can you imagine?
I have been missing out for a long time!
The packaging is great. The tub it is made of plastic but looks durable. well , I haven’t dropped it yet!
I have tried four out of the different body scrubs from Rituals and these two are my favourites.
They both smell wonderful and make my skin super soft and moisturised.
Anyway, on to the reviews! Let’s have a look then I’ll give you my verdict.
Himalaya Scrub Review
This velvety soft and cooling body scrub is great to revitalize your skin.
Enriched with the luxurious fragrance of Indian rose and soothing sweet almond oil.
This scrub smells amazing, and will moisturize, cool and refresh your skin on hot days and keep your body warm in the colder months.
The scrubbing effect with oil-nutrition feels great to the skin, leaving it hydrated and perfumed after using. A scrub that leaves a deep-acting, moisturising and protective film on your skin.
I like the way the fine granules of the scrub gets rid of all the dead skin cells. Doing so promotes regrowth and leaving your skin soft and hydrated.
The 450g / 15.8 oz tub is said to contain prehistoric Crystal Salts from the Himalayas, known to have a purifying and harmonising effect on inner balance and vitality.
The ancient Ayurvedic ingredient of Fresh Mint revitalises your body and has a refreshing effect.
Revitalize your skin with this soft cooling scrub packed with pristine salt from the Himalayas.
Enriched with the luxurious fragrance of Indian Rose and soothing Sweet Almond Oil.
Scrubbing is an extremely effective way to purify your body and stimulate your body’s energy flow.
The scrub is thick salt crystals which are fantastic for scrubbing all over your body gently. It contains Warming Ginger and Fresh Eucalyptus even though it does not remind me of any of them smells.
What’s The Verdict?
My preference when using this scrub is to use it in the evening. For some reason it feels better for me on the skin in the evening than it does in the morning.
If you do not like a coat of lotion on your skin after showering, you will not like this body scrub.
I would recommend this scrub. I have sensitive skin so I am always very picky about products I use.
If you have dry skin, always go for salt scrubs. Rituals body scrubs which contain salt can help revitalize flaky skin.
The consistency of this scrub also provides for a higher moisturizing effect.
For €19.50? It’s quite a steal.

Hammam Hot Scrub Review
If I had to choose between the Himalaya Scrub and this one, the Hammam Hot Scrub? I would definitely go for this one. I love it for winter when the air is dry and cold and for the summer because it leaves my skin tingly and refreshed.
I mentioned earlier that I like the Himalaya Scrub for the evening, The Hammam Hot Scrub is a perfect “wake-me-up” to start off your day.
This sea salt body scrub with warming ginger and refreshing eucalyptus will leave your skin feeling not only silky-smooth but completely exfoliated.
Every time I use this, I get that serene spa feeling. The micro-beads rub into the skin very well.
The great thing about the Hammam Hot scrub is that only requires the smallest amount of product per application. I have been able to use this tub for far longer than the Himalaya Scrub.
Compared to other body exfoliators I have used in the past, this one is top.
The scrub contains warming ginger and fresh eucalyptus which left me with the Hammam Bath feeling I had experienced on our holiday to Morocco.
Here Is What I Love
I can’t say anything bad about this product. In fact, it is my favourite of all the Rituals body scrubs.
It makes my skin so incredibly soft, and smells nice all day. Self-care is vital to health, inner-peace and happiness.
As I mentioned earlier, I have sensitive skin so it is important for me to find a product that I know will last a while and works!
I like the combination of ginger with eucalyptus, I believe that’s what really makes your skin glow.
It also goes for €19, 50 which is about $ 22.50 for a 450g / 15.8 oz tub – very much worth it.
How To Apply And Use Rituals Body Scrubs
- Apply scrub to damp skin.
- Using a circular motion, gently massage the scrub into your skin.
- Rinse the scrub off with warm water.
- Follow with a warm bath for even softer skin.
- Apply moisturizer after your bath (if necessary) to lock in the softness.
Repeat this process once or twice a week (depending on your skin type) and to feel wonderfully rejuvenated.
No matter your skin type, Rituals body scrubs will make you love the look and feel of your skin.
Rituals currently has some summer limited edition items available.

Hii,
Can this body scrub and body cream be used on face??
I put the ingredients for the body scrub to use on the body, and the ones for the face masks, to be used on the face.
Both of these look lovely. I think the Himalayan one would be my choice. Not too sure about warming scrubs although I love the scent of ginger.
Rituals scrubs are absolutely divine and i am a huge fan of their entire range of products, especially the candles x

Wow, those sound amazing! I love a great sugar scrub; never used a salt scrub before, but it sounds intriguing. I would love to give one of those a try!
The name Rituals, itself conjures up images of exotic and luxuriant pampering. The body scrubs from Ritual seem to evoke the aromas of the Himalayan mountains and the Hamams of Arabia.
Well, for such a great sounding product, Rituals price also is amazing. I am putting this on my list, once my body scrub is used up – I love body scrubs, too!
Nice review! it’s really amazing product. Makes your skin so soft and rejuvenated!
These salt scrubs sound wonderful. I’ve only used salt scrubs on my hands, so it would be interesting to try a whole body scrub. This brand is new to me. Wonder if it’s something I can find locally or order online.
I’ve never heard of this brand before. However, they sure are calling my name after this post!
These salt scrubs sound AMAZING! I’ve never experienced a Hammam Bath before, but the essence of ginger and eucalyptus sounds heavenly! I’m a huge fan of Himalayan salt scrubs, so both of these are on my must-try list! 🙂

I’ve never tried these before! I have always wanted to do a body scrub though. I’d be happy to give any of these a go!
Haven’t heard of Rituals products before but I am a fan of body scrubs. Body scrubs are an excellent way to exfoliate and I too have sensitive skin so I am leery of trying new products. So a special thanks for mentioning that you also have sensitive skin. Oh and thanks for sharing the link to the Summer Sale.
This looks like an amazing scrub that I could get into the habit of using. It is also good to hear that you enjoyed it even with sensitive skin.
The package is great and really nice they don’t test on animals. Always willing to change and try something new. Especially when I find something that really works for my skin.
I’m not familiar with this brand. I think they all sound good, I’m guessing I’d like the scent of the Himalaya or the Hammam the best.
I have recently been switching to all cruelty-free brands so I always love finding more! Thanks for sharing this, sounds like I should give it a try 🙂
