How Many Of The World’s Most Livable Cities Have You Visited?
Mercer has published their 2016 list of the World’s Most Livable Cities!
For the SEVENTH time in a row Vienna is the world’s best city to live in! Amazing right? Baghdad is classified as the worst.
Fashion capitals such as Paris, London and New York do not even make it into the Top 20. Are you surprised?
Mostly European, or more specifically, German-speaking cities monopolized the rankings.
Mercer’s survey examines the social, economic, health, education, housing and environmental conditions.
Take a look at these ten wonderful and most liveable cities – who wouldn’t want to live in any of these places?
10. SYDNEY – AUSTRALIA
9. COPENHAGEN – DENMARK
8. GENEVA – SWITZERLAND
“I travel because I’d rather look back at my life, saying ‘I can’t believe I did that’ instead of ‘If only I had…'”. – Florine Bos

I have also been to 7 of these and have lived in 2 of them (Vancouver is home and Vienna home #2, where I currently live). I just discovered your blog via Pinterest—fun to find another English blog from Vienna.
Hi Debra! This is great news! I am always happy to find someone else in Vienna who blogs in English. Yayyy, thank you fro stopping by and leaving me this comment. It made my day! vielen Dank! Sheri xoxox
All beautiful cities. I believe the main reason why London doesn’t get on the list is because it’s so pricey to live there. Dublin is also a beautiful city, but the economics it’s not so good.
I’d love to live or even visit any of these cities!
Might have to move to Luxembourg or Vienna!

I always wanted to live in Canada or New Zealand. I hope one day I can take my entire family there!
I have not been to any of the awesome places. Someday hopefully! Vienna, you’re on my list! <3
Never been to Vienna (yet), and the rankings make me want to book a flight and go there for a visit! 🙂 Been to Copenhagen and Geneva, both are really aesthetically nice cities. It’s interesting how many German cities dominate the list, despite the immigration issues there. Tbh, I prefer to live in a less urbanized city like where I live now. Proximity to nature is a factor I greatly consider. Thanks for sharing!
I must agree with the list. I haven’t been to too many of the cities acknowledged in the article but as much as I love London it’s crazy busy and expensive to live in xx
I’d love to visit Vienna, it’s a little dream of mine 🙂 xx
If you ever end up coming over to Vienna, please let me know Dorota, I will be your personal guide.
